WHEN SHOULD I GET MY EYES TESTED?


 

There are many situations in which you should have your eyes examined. They range from routine eye exams to specific problems.

 

Full eye examinations are essential and should be done regularly since a large number of vision and ocular health problems may show no outward signs or symptoms. 

ROUTINE FULL EYE EXAM RECOMMENDATIONS*

Infants [Birth-2 years ]: 6 months of Age

Preschoolers [ 3-5 years ]: At least once between ages 2-5 & again before starting school

School- Age Children [ 6-19 years ] : Annually

Adults [ 20-39 years ] : 2-3 years

Adults [ 40-64 years ] : Every 2 years

Adults [ 65+ years ] : Annually
